When I get closer to finishing the game maybe I can show JeanMarc and Kerby how to import the spritesheets and they can be submitted via them. :-) I posted some musings on RPG combat roles on the blog tonight and last night I almost completed switching Worg to using Mario's World Editor. What I would like to do is release a more complete version of Mario sometime in the next few months, probably called 'Mario Multiplayer Racer'. From there I will shift more focus to Worg.

Well, with the two of them, it surely makes a complete customisation for characters. Maybe include an upload feature for players to upload their playable character and allow more variety in characters.

I remember saying Sponge saying that some time ago and I completely agree with him: You could change maybe the name of the game. However this shouldn't be one of your top priorities, because, even though the name is a major aspect to get the player interested, there's more important things to do before this. Even if Worg 2 is the successor of Worg, it doesn't mean it should keep the same name. You already did that before like Multiplayer Mario which became CND and then re-became Multiplayer Mario, but with a new name, shouldn't it get its name revamped too?

Yes I will change the name of the game! Don't worry. Worg is just the project name. Honestly I haven't come up with anything really good yet. I am up for suggestions but don't get your hopes super high I probably wont decide for another year...

Those are some great finds for making characters! I went with this very standardized character for that reason, so we can maximize the amount of characters available and players can feel comfortable making characters to be submitted.

If you are curious, right now I am working on the zoning system. It is going to be like Zelda IV, where there are 'zones' and when you reach the end of one zone and push against the side of it the screen pans across to the next zone. Also part of this is 'empty maps'. For zones that are 'empty' some NPCs and trees will be randomly placed inside of them. This will create a nicer effect than what you see now in CND where you 'fall forever'. Although I won't work on this right away, I plan for the creatures to become more difficult as you venture further out away from the center of the world (zone 0,0)... Somewhat like in Realm of the Mad God. I would appreciate suggestions and comments concerning this.

Also, seeing a beta soon would be interesting. Will you soon reveal to the others the classes there will be in the game? I checked it in the admin tools, and they are interesting. I'll mail you my suggstions, to not spoil anything you don't want me to spoil.

The classes you are seeing as an Admin are tentative... I have been drawing them out on paper over and over trying to figure out how to work it so that I can keep things interesting, open, and balanced. It is pretty difficult though... I have spent a lot of time on that, but it probably won't be in the actual game for a while... Too many other things to do!

Just a question, is the game going to be completely online (Like I hope), will there be an Online Mode, that only involves a couple screens to chat and PvP in, or will it be completely offline?

Wormy, I have an idea. Transfer your complete data for CND to another Admin. That way you can work on "Worg" while said Admin improves CND. Two projects completed at once!

@rilezTNUKI: If anyone is interested in working on CND they are welcome to email me about it. I don't expect there will be any interest however, because it is scripted in Actionscript 2 which is an outdated programming language.

@Absent0: That is exactly what I am going for... Certain areas could be designed by a map designer and used as towns. How far apart they will be will be up to the designers, and any areas between these towns that are not designed by the map designer will be automatically filled with trees and NPCs. Actually this is already in the game now (programmed)! :-) Right now its rather boring, with just 1 type of tree, NPC, and grass.

I won't get a lot of time to work on the game again until mid February, but I am happy with what I got done over winter break and I am looking forward to sharing it with you all and getting your input around February.
